It is a tabletop surface and sturdy enough. I don't think it is recommended as a desk, as it has a rough surface, but as a gaming table it is very good, supports a lot of weight, and the surface of the mat with grips is good.

I bought it for my 15-year-old son and he liked it a lot. I didn't know about this type of desks, it pleasantly surprised me.

It is a quite spacious and sturdy table. I do not recommend it as a desk since it has a rough surface, but as a gaming table, it is very good; it supports a lot of weight and with the surface it has, the mouse pad grips well.
