Work Stools
Discover our selection of work stools for clinics, laboratories, workshops, shops and other professional settings. In this category, you will find medical, laboratory and workshop stools, including height-adjustable models, options with castors or backrests and hard-wearing polyurethane seats that are easy to clean.
Before choosing a work stool, consider the height of the work surface, the mobility required and the cleaning needs of the space. For desks, reception areas, counters and high tables, you can also explore our office stools.
How to choose a work stool
The professional setting and type of task will determine whether a laboratory stool, workshop stool or medical stool is most suitable. In workshops, clinics and laboratories, pay particular attention to the materials, height adjustment range, mobility and ease of cleaning.
Polyurethane seats are suitable for workstations where a hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface is required. Padded models provide a softer seat, while stools with backrests offer additional support when used for longer periods.
You should also check the minimum and maximum seat height. Adjustable models allow the stool to suit different users and work surfaces. At higher workstations, a model with a footring may be useful, while a compact stool may be more suitable for lower tables.
A work stool with wheels makes it easier to move around the workstation. Before choosing one, check that the base fits the available space and that the castors are suitable for the type of flooring.
Stools for workshops, clinics and laboratories
Workshop stools are designed for spaces where they may be subject to frequent use, scuffs and regular cleaning. Depending on the activity, you can choose a model with a polyurethane seat, backrest, fixed base or castors.
In clinics, consulting rooms and beauty salons, adjustable stools with castors are often practical because they allow users to move between nearby areas without repeatedly standing up. Models with backrests or saddle seats can provide additional support for tasks that require precision.
Laboratory stools should suit both the height of the work surface and the available space. If a workstation is shared by several professionals, height adjustment allows the seat to be adapted to different users and tasks.
For home working at a standard desk, one of our work chairs may be more suitable, especially if back support is needed for several hours.
Support stools for standing work
Support stools are designed for workstations where users alternate between standing and a semi-seated position. They can be used on production lines, in workshops, shops, at counters and in other spaces where it is often necessary to stand or change posture.
Some models allow the height to be adjusted or the seat to be tilted slightly to suit different tasks. They need not replace a conventional chair but can provide a support point during certain stages of work.
For workstations that require greater freedom of movement and a more dynamic posture, explore our adjustable ergonomic stools.
